Samsung 3D Projection YouTube Game
…the agency behind the (Samsung) projection mapping (in Amsterdam), has now created a very cool YouTube experience by re-creating the Amsterdam installation with a YouTube page take over that doubles as a game (the very first of its kind on YouTube) to win a new 3D TV from Samsung.
The footage from Amsterdam breaks out of the video panel (true to YouTube take overs) and starts to crack the users screen before a game screen appears, the countdown starts and a scoreboard ticks away as you capture as many of the 3D butterflies as possible. (thanks Karlijn!)

See through walls! IBM Seer Wimbledon 2010
Amid the excitement of this year’s Wimbledon tennis tournament, IBM have released their 2010 “Seer” mobile Application, built by OgilvyOne London.
IBM actually launched their first Seer Application for Wimbledon in 2009 and also brought it to this year’s Australian Open tournament, but for this year’s Wimbledon the Application has been updated and improved to include some stunning features:
- Live video feeds from around the stadium - Allowing users to see Tennis matches, Taxi ranks, etc from anywhere inside the stadium.
- Live radio - so users can hear the commentary as they are watching the game
- Real-time augmented reality - Pointing the phone’s camera around the stadium shows the user which matches are currently playing on the various courts (and other information)
- A Twitter client - allowing you to tweet about the match you’re watching

Nike True City
The idea is some sort of Augmented Reality blended with Foursquare. But what I like about this video is the presentation of it. As usual, Nike presents it in a stylized way that can drive fans crazy.

Panoramic photo from Glastonbury Festival
At last weekend’s Glastonbury Festival, the legendary UK music and performing arts event, a huge photo was taken of 70,000 enthusiastic fans.
Now this picture, which was snapped during the halftime of the England-Slovenia World Cup Match, is being circulated around the web and tagged via Facebook Connect. The panoramic photograph has already been tagged with thousands of people and is, in all likelihood, the most-tagged photo in existence.
The experience is a bit like Where’s Waldo for the digital age, where oddly dressed cartoon characters are replaced by real people. If you enable Facebook Connect, you can tag yourself and your friends. Just be a good sport, and don’t tag people you know aren’t in the photo. That would ruin the game for everyone, wouldn’t it?
In addition to this fascinating exercise in photo-tagging, the Glastonbury organizers have also developed a cool mobile app for navigating the festival, including current and upcoming acts on various stages, exits, amenities and more in an augmented-reality interface. Kudos to that team for making such great use of available digital media tools.
The Glastonbury Festival is the largest open-air music and performing arts festival in existence. Although Glastonbury is best known for showcasing musical groups, it also features dance, cabaret, theater, comedy, circus and other types of acts.
Would you like to see more massive photos from events like this tagged via Facebook? What do you think about this from a viral marketing perspective?

AT&T - Augmented Reality Banner Game
If you’re getting tired of the World Cup campaigns I’m posting, just leave a comment below and I’ll stop! But for those who are not, this one might warrant your attention, it’s an Augmented Reality Game Banner for AT&T on ESPN.com (created by Zugura, BBDO and Zoic Studios)
The banner brings you right into the game, with Zugara’s Augmented Reality motion capture technology called ZugMO, and has you heading crosses towards to goal straight from your webcam. You Get 5 shots to score as many goals as possible and there isn’t a lot more to it than that, but this is a very cool concept and I’m looking forward to seeing the engagement results!
